Smile New Jersey Devils are thin when it comes to right handed defensemen

The New Jersey Devils are thin when it comes to right handed defensemen. Jacob Trouba has requested a trade, and is already an established NHL er.

Jacob Trouba has requested a trade from the Winnipeg Jets. After trading away Adam Larsson for Taylor Hall, the New Jersey Devils are in the market for a right handed defenseman. While the price may be high, the Devils should do their do diligence and inquire about the possibility of trading for Trouba.

When asked on Friday, “What are expectations for this season for the Devils?” Ray Shero responded, “Asset wise we’re in a better place in terms of draft pick wise moving forward.” IF Shero decides that he is willing to extend an offer that includes some picks, the Devils could land Trouba.
Statistic wise, Trouba is a more decorated player than Adam Larsson, and in less games. The asking price for Larsson was Taylor Hall which could translate to any offers that Winnipeg will listen to. The Devils will likely be unwilling to trade any of their top NHL players such as Adam Henrique, Kyle Palmieri, Hall, Michael Cammalleri Adam Henrique Jersey, etc. The price will be hefty, but if the Devils can trade for him it would make the team better.

Possible trade pieces could include any of the Devils draft picks, and young prospective players. The price will likely be a bit lower than it would for Larsson as there is no guaranteed contract. Trouba is still a restricted free agent whereas Larsson had several years left. The Devils may have to give up some players that may be considered future key players. Reid Boucher, Joseph Blandisi Travis Zajac Jersey, Steve Santini… These are the players that will likely be asked for. One of those three and a second could do the trick. If not, the Devils could throw in a third or another one of those players. If needed, the Devils could potentially trade one or both of the above mentioned wingers, and bring in Patrik Elias.

The Devils need to consider this trade. Jacob Trouba is an established NHL player at just 22 years old. With a decent offensive upside http://www.devilsfansstore.com/patri...rsey-c-10.html, the Devils and their middling offense could use him. Expect Ray Shero to pursue the possibility as the NHL Regular Season approaches. It is know that a trade request doesn’t guarantee a trade.
